One really easy change to make (for those of you who are ok with wheat and gluten) is the slice width of the bread you eat. Instead of buying ‘thick cut’ bread, go for the ‘medium’ or ‘thin’ cut. That way, when you have a couple of slices of bread, you are reducing the amount without really missing out.
