On our journey towards adulthood, we are often, sometimes inadvertently, taught that achievement is all about money and material worth.
How much money do you make?
What job do you do?
What house do you live in?
What car do you drive?
But what makes a difference to how we feel about ourselves? What is it that gives our lives meaning? What affords us self-worth?
The answer is; The positive impact we have on other people's lives.
That's why I coach.
If I can look back and say that I have helped, I can feel the sense of self-worth that can only come from making a positive difference.
That feeling is immense. It is positive, and it motivates me to keep working harder and hopefully inspire others to do the same.
