about our client:

 

Our client came to us knowing she needed to do something about her health and fitness levels. She wasn’t sure what the right steps were and had previously tried on her own but found it all too easy to quite when things got tricky. Home life meant that she had little time for herself, focussing, as mums do, on the needs of others.

 

what we did:

 

We looked at our client’s morning and evening rituals and provided a personalised training and nutrition plan that worked within the time frame of our client’s typical day. We also looked at how our client could be more productive during the day and get a better quality of rest at night. 

 

the result:

 

Over a 10 weeks, our client lost 11 inches, gained more self-confidence and had a better idea of how to deal with social situations when they arose. Becoming more aware of how hard she could push herself with the right exercise regime during her training sessions.

BEACH BOD DREAMS

about our client:

 

Lee joined the Academy a few months before his birthday - when he was planning a special holiday. He wanted to be looking and feeling his best for this event that he was very much looking forward to. Lee knew a fair bit about training and nutritions, having had personal 1-2-1 training and semi-private training before joining us but felt he lacked the accountability and skills to put a successful training plan together himself.

 

what we did:

 

We designed a programme around the times that Lee could commit, fitting around a hectic home and work life - mainly early mornings. We looked closely at Lee’s nutrition, sleep and stress factors, creating a programme that allowed him to recover from his training sessions adequately to gain maximum benefit, adding regular check-ins with his coach to keep him accountable and on-track to reach his goals in time to step out onto the beach.

The results really are outstanding and we hear the holiday was a blast!

OUT OF SYNC

about our client:

 

Typical to many who come to us, our client has a young family and works in the health service leading to busy work schedule, long hours and night shifts were difficult to juggle. Our client suffered from disturbed sleep due to a chaotic shift-pattern, inconsistent eating times and high stress levels.

 

what we did:

 

We looked at sleep and stress protocols, coaching our client in deep breathing techniques which improve sleep quality and reduce stress, which resulted in a reduction in stress and improved rest and repair between work shifts and training sessions. We also looked a diet and shared our knowledge of ways to make food preparation less time consuming - which had a positive impact on the whole family - more quality time to spend together and less time wasted on cooking food and figuring out what to eat. We designed our client’s training programme around his busy schedule, giving him as much autonomy to regulate this himself as we could, setting different programmes throughout the week with a variety of rep ranges and outcomes. As long as each workout was covered, he could decide for himself which day he would achieve the best results from exercise.

 

the result:

 

The results were amazing and we are really excited to continue our work with him - as we move onto the next phase of his journey.

BACK TO THE GOOD OLD DAYS

about our client:

 

Our client joined Switch Academy as he had been very sporty in the past, but realisation dawned that he really wasn’t in the same shape as he had been in before. He was looking for accountability and definite results to spur him on to achieve and maintain a fit and healthy lifestyle once again.

 

what we did:

 

We introduced a detailed training plan that built on his past experience in the gym - utilising the movements and exercise that he enjoyed which would give him the most effective results. We also provided specific metrics to record his sleep and stress levels to support him towards achieving his objectives. Weekly check-ins with his coach meant that successes could be recognised keeping him on track to consistent wins along his journey.

HECTIC BUSINESS LIFE

about our client:

 

Martine is a very busy business woman who had little time to spend on herself. The added pressures of a work-related social life, entertaining clients and dining out with colleagues has led to a less-than-ideal diet. Similarly, the lack of accountability and support in doing something about it led to a spiral that was hard to break out of.

 

what we did:

 

Martine’s coach spent a lot of time working on her mindset and teaching her useful and practical ways to make sensible choices when at work functions. Training plans were designed around her challenging time constraints and were focused on big movement exercises to utilise as many muscles as possible and increase the level of body composition changes. Check-ins held twice a week with her coach kept up high levels of motivation and the accountability and support really did help to achieve those goals rapidly, but sensibly in a way that was easy to maintain.

 

the result:

 

As you can see from the pictures, Martine looks great. There has been considerable weight-loss and a better work-life balance has been achieved. Martine is can now make informed choices when it comes to nutrition within a social environment and can choose her canapés wisely!
