A choice we make

"I fell off the wagon this weekend Chris".

I hear this quite a lot of the time. And here is the harsh truth; saying you fell off the wagon makes it sound like an accident - like you didn't mean to order the takeaway and go overboard on the drink.

But in reality, it wasn't an accident. You made a conscious decision to do it. You decided to have the pizza and the beer, to miss your workout and not complete your journaling.

All decisions have consequences - both positive and negative. When you look at a choice, you need to decide if you can live with the consequences of your actions.

If you can, then crack on. But if you can't, if it moves you too far away from the compelling and exciting life you are building, then you need to make a different choice.
