Be honest: How often have you got to Tuesday or Wednesday and thought, “there's no point starting now. I’ll wait until Monday”.
I know that I certainly have!
Here’s the thing...your body doesn’t know what day of the week it is. It doesn’t care what day you start on.
Trust me - it just wants you to start.
I have quite a few clients who start their weeks on a Friday.
Why?
Because they find the weekends hard to start with. The temptation to overindulge is there.
By setting weekly calorie targets that start on a Friday rather than a Monday, they can do what they need to do over the weekend and have the rest of the week to regain control and hit targets.
I’m not saying this is necessarily a sustainable plan, and we do put habits, rituals and missions in place that help to curb the urge to overindulge.
But, to begin with, it is a great strategy.
The best time to start is always now, while you're thinking about it.
Don’t put it off.
Get a plan and get going. It's never going to be perfect.
But, starting something messy is better than not starting at all.
And hey...I’m always here to help.
