Often I am asked: "Which diet is the best one out there?"
After all, there are so many to choose from:
The Cambridge diet
Paleo Diet
The Keto Diet
...to name but a few!
The answer, as in so many cases in the fitness industry, is...it depends!
And, it depends on you.
All these diet plans work by putting you in a calorie deficit. Whether that be by eating mainly protein, mainly fat or by cutting out carbohydrates.
I’m always asking my team to ask themselves better questions, and this is the perfect time to do that.
Instead of asking yourself which is the best diet, ask yourself... "Can I see myself still eating this way in 12-months time?”
If the answer to that is “NO”, then it probably isn’t the diet for you.
There will always be times when a more restrictive action may be required - a last-minute holiday or social situation, for example.
The foods that you eat should not leave you desperately craving foods that you have cut out.
Healthy eating does not need to be complicated, hard work, or make you miserable.
