How do you protect your energy?

I asked this a lot, and the answer is simple; “I use rituals”.


Protecting your energy is so important. How do you hope to be at your best and keep your motivation high, if your energy is constantly being drained by people and situations that don’t serve your goals?

So how do I do it?

  • I use non-negotiable tasks and rituals every single day

  • I get up at the same time every day

  • I have a pint of water

  • I journal with the key tasks for the day and fill in my gratitude log

  • I take my clients through their workouts

  • I train myself

  • I take the dogs for a walk


Once this has all been done, I move on to the tasks that I have set for the day.


Notice that there is no social media on that list at all. There is no looking at posts from people that will drain my energy. There is no getting into situations that will draw my positive feelings away.

It may sound a bit fanciful to some of you, and it certainly doesn’t work out this perfectly every day. But, since starting this;

  • My productivity has skyrocketed

  • My positive vibes have grown

  • My confidence has improved

  • And I feel so much happier with where I am


We know that we can’t change our situation with the same level of thinking that got us there in the first place.

So is it time you tried something new? If so, this could well be the missing part of your journey.


After all, there is a reason why the most successful people in business and life do these things.
