Recently I have been allowing a situation to get to me. Where my thoughts were that other people weren’t respecting things in the same way I would.
This led to frustration, resentment, and a whole bunch of negative emotions that took my energy and wore me down.
I was advised to reframe the whole situation. To realise that all that was happening was that my expectations were not being met.
I was expecting other people to have the same values and principles as me.
In this situation, it wasn't their stuff. They hadn’t invested in it, so of course, they would not have the same level of thought towards it.
Once you realise that people are doing what's best for them at that time. And that their behaviour shows where they are in their lives, it makes dealing with events that happen far easier.
