Are you a planner?

We let our standards slip, and we really noticed it.

Over the last couple of weeks, both my wife and I knew that something wasn’t working properly. But we just couldn't work out what.

Yesterday we were told by our kids what it was.

Every day, regular as clockwork, the kids will ask us what we are having for dinner.

We always had an answer, because we had planned out the meals for that week. However, recently, for some reason, we had let this slip. And so, when the inevitable question was asked, we had no answer.

This led to us scratching around to see what we could put together as a meal.

This may sound like a small thing, but we work best when everything is planned out.

The risk of grabbing a quick processed meal or a takeaway menu is so much higher if we are left trying to piece a meal together at the last minute.

We end up being rushed and making choices that we would not normally make.

So after pulling a meal out of the hat yesterday evening, we planned out our meals for the coming week so we could get the food we needed on our list.

What do you do?

Are you planners, or do you just see what you fancy?
