As you glance at your Fitbit, Apple Watch, or whatever tech you use to keep track of your step count, do you ever get to the end of the day and find you haven't quite reached your goal?
Well here are some quick tips to get those extra steps in as you go about your day...
When you go to Sainsbury's, Marks & Spencer, Waitrose, or wherever you happen to do your shopping, try to park your car further away from the door of the shop. That way you are forced to get some extra steps in!
If you spend the vast majority of your time working at a desk (or kitchen table now!), set yourself a goal of getting up and walking around your house every 30-50 minutes. You will find this is not just going to help your step count. It will also improve your mindset.
Go for a walk! Sounds obvious, but going out for a walk is incredibly beneficial for both mind and body and is the easiest way of getting those steps in.
My coaching programme focuses on using simple tools to help people change their lifestyle to support their goals. I don't believe in throwing people into crazy diets and ridiculous exercise routines. I help and support people and work with them to find easy-to-manage solutions to achieve results they can maintain.
