Your mindset is so important to achieving your goals

...and, never more important than now.

A lot of people are really struggling with working out from home, and the limited amount of equipment that they have available.

So here are my 4 top tips for getting through these last few weeks of home workouts before we get back to the big playground;
  1. Ready yourself for the fact that your workout goals need to change. Let's face it, you don’t really want to be deadlifting in your bedroom. But you do want to give every workout your best; aim to get yourself fired up for every single workout, aim to concentrate on the actions of the moves, focus on the contractions and the ranges of the muscles.

  2. Get the most motivational playlist that you can - all the songs that you love and that get you fired up and ready to train.

  3. Set a time limit. By having a time limit to your workouts you give it a sense of urgency. This can be as little as 20 minutes or as long as 90 minutes. You know best how long you can stay motivated and focused.

  4. Keep your ritual as close to normal as you can. If this means training at a certain time, then keep to that. Wear full training gear too, rather than training in less than ideal clothing - and if you use a certain water bottle whilst training keep it near you.

It won’t be long until we can get back into the places we love to workout in, so don’t let the situation ruin your progress. Focus on the things you can control and let go of worrying about the things you can’t.

Together we can get through these last few weeks.
