We let our standards slip, and we really noticed it!
Some time ago, my wife and I knew something wasn’t working. We just couldn't work out what.
Typically, we were told by our kids what it was.
Every day, regular as clockwork, the kids will ask what we are having for dinner.
We always had an answer because we had already planned out the meals for that week. However, recently, for some reason, we had let this slip. And so, when the inevitable question was asked...we had no answer.
This led to us scratching around to see what we could put together as a meal.
This may sound like a small thing, but we work best when everything is planned out.
The risk of grabbing a quick processed meal or a takeaway menu is much higher if we are left trying to piece a meal together at the last minute.
We end up being rushed and making choices we would not normally make.
So after pulling a meal out of the hat yesterday evening, we planned out our meals for the coming week and got the food we needed on our list.
What do you do?
Are you planners, or do you just see what you fancy?
