This is a great question from an online client.
“You say you need to upgrade your peer group to people who will lift your values to their level. All my mates love to get drunk, and I always want to join in. Do I need to ditch all my mates and find new ones ?”
I totally get why this was asked. This guy is so up for making changes. He has a big mission and is so determined.
But look, I’m certainly not saying you need to sack off your oldest mates.
You also don’t need to have just one peer group.
I have a peer group I discuss business matters with.
I have a peer group I train with.
And, I still have my oldest mates.
You don’t need to lose the people that have been closest to you. You just need to look for new people who can help you in the areas of your life you feel assistance is required.
A great question though.
